Who is this for?

Refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at risk of domestic abuse

Domestic abuse is incidents or patterns of abusive or controlling behaviour which can include violent behaviour, by a family member. Domestic abuse can be more difficult to escape when people have the additional worry of their immigration status. Our Adult and Family Advice Service has a dedicated female worker to support those at risk of domestic abuse to help them work out their options and find the support they need.

“I really feel better since Asylum Welcome have been helping me. They make no judgements; I am free to be myself. A few months ago I thought every good thing had ended for me but at last I am hopeful that things are getting better.”
