Our recycled laptop project enables our clients to continue their education and pursue employment, remain connected with friends and families, and access online information, support and resources. 

Suitable devices for donation

Laptops and phones up to six years old are particularly useful to us, and tablets are also gratefully received.

Devices should be:

• In good condition and full working order.
• Capable of running Windows 11, where applicable.
• Equipped with a webcam.
• Supplied with their charger.

Phones must be fully wiped of all personal data before donation.

Unfortunately, older devices or those requiring significant repairs can be difficult for us to reuse effectively.

Where to donate

Devices can be dropped off at Asylum Welcome (7 Newtec Place, Magdalen Road, Oxford OX4 1RE) Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 4 pm.

If you are further afield in the county, you can also donate to SOFEA in Didcot or Bicester Green in Bicester, who work with us to supply laptops for our programme. Click here for more information.
