Thank you for your interest in supporting Asylum Welcome.

As our Welcome Centre has limited storage space, we can only accept certain items directly.

Welcome Centre donations

The following items can be dropped off at the Welcome Centre (Unit 7, Newtec Place, Magdalen Road, Oxford OX4 1RE), Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm:

• Non-perishable food
• Toiletries (men’s toiletries are especially helpful)
• Adult and children’s bikes (with locks and lights where possible)
• Laptops, smartphones and tablets (with chargers)

If you are donating these items, please hand them to a member of staff or volunteer at reception. Please do not leave donations, including bikes, outside the building or in the lobby.

For digital devices, please ensure they are in good working order, ideally less than six years old, have all personal data removed, and are not locked to an Apple or Google account.

Men’s clothes and shoes

Men’s clothing and shoes can be donated at our clothing collection point at:

Oxford Quaker Friends Meeting House
43 St Giles’, Oxford OX1 3LW

Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm.

These donations are distributed through the Clothes & Conversation Cafés for people seeking sanctuary.

Women’s and children’s clothes

Women’s and children’s clothing can be donated to our friends at:

Yellow Submarine Café
12 Park End Street, Oxford OX1 1HH

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 3 pm.

These donations are collected by Apollos, which supports people in Witney, including those living in asylum accommodation. Please contact the café (01865 236119) before bringing large donations to check available capacity.

Furniture, household items and other goods

Asylum Welcome is not currently able to accept these items. However, furniture, household items, books, toys, tents, sleeping bags and similar items can be donated to our friends at:

Emmaus Oxford

Opening hours:

• Monday to Saturday, 9.30 am to 5 pm
• Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm

Please call ahead to Emmaus (01865 763 698) if you are donating larger items. Collection may be available for some furniture.
