Food donations

Food donations enable us to provide weekly food bags for individuals and families at risk of destitution. We currently distribute more than 1,100 food bags annually, containing items of food and toiletries.

We are always grateful for donations of food and toiletries, please do check the list below for items that are most needed:

  • Rice

  • Tinned tomatoes

  • Milk (UHT)

  • Tinned sweetcorn

  • Tinned beans

  • Tinned fruit

  • Baked beans

  • Oil

  • Tinned fish
  • Biscuits

  • At present we cannot accept any meat products apart from fish

We also really appreciate food bank donations from groups, including faith groups and schools. If you are part of a group that would like to collect items for Asylum Welcome, then you may find this printable label for collection boxes useful.

Please think twice before donating long-forgotten items from the back of your cupboard. If you haven’t picked them out recently, they probably won’t be popular in our cupboard either!

Food donations can be delivered to our office (7 Newtec Place, Magdalen Road, Oxford OX4 1RE) between 9.30am and 4pm on weekdays.

Alternatively, you can order items to be delivered directly to us. You can contact our food bank coordinator for more information, Janet via
