Since Valentine’s Day, residents of Oxfordshire can visit the exhibition Have Heart, Take Heart at the Community Works (21 Park End St) in Central Oxford. The exhibition displays handwritten messages of solidarity that residents of Oxfordshire have prepared for asylum seekers and refugees arriving and living in the UK. The messages of support are written on orange hearts, the national symbol of solidarity with refugees.

This exhibition is part of the Have Heart, Take Heart national campaign organised by Together With Refugees, a coalition of over 300 organisations across the UK who have joined forced to oppose the government’s dangerous plans to withdraw support from some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

In addition to visiting the exhibition, you may also wish to write your own message of solidarity, to show refugees and asylum seekers that they are not alone.
