Bike Oxford July 3
We are excited to announce that we will be taking part once again in Bike Oxford this year, hoping to raise funds for Asylum Welcome and Sanctuary Wheels. Bike Oxford is a day event where cyclists of all abilities are offered the opportunity to ride one of the signposted routes of 26-, 48- and 80-miles. Each route has a number of feed stations to help refuel cyclists, with a medal, food, and warm welcome awaiting all finishers at the event villages in Oxford and Chipping Norton. It is open to companies, teams, charities, individuals and families. Parties which are running for a charity (for example supporting Asylum Welcome!) will be asked, when buying tickets, whether they are riding for a charity. If you are riding for AW, please click Yes and put our name in the relevant box!
It is happening on the 3rd of July and these are the routes and its time windows:
- 80 mile route: 0730-0830
- 48 mile routes: 0830- 0930
- 26 mile route: 0930 -1015
For further information please visit https://www.bikeoxford.co.uk/
We have several free tickets which we’ll be very happy to give to anyone wanting to cycle in support of AW. What’s more, even if we run out of free tickets, we’ll be more than happy to reimburse the entry costs of anyone wanting to ride in support of AW and Sanctuary Wheels.
We are incredibly grateful to all the cyclists who will be riding in support of refugees and asylum seekers. Good luck and we’ll see you on the 3rd July!
