As an independent charity, Asylum Welcome relies heavily on donations from individuals, faith groups and organisations. We are very grateful to all our supporters who arrange sponsored activities and fundraising events to raise money to fund essential services for asylum seekers, refugees and immigration detainees in Oxfordshire.
Every penny counts… Oxfordshire’s students, churches, groups and associations are coming up with creative ways to have fun and raise money for Asylum Welcome.
Recent Asylum Welcome fundraising activities include secondhand book sales, sponsored runs in the London Marathon, musical events, Refugee Week activities, sponsored walks, plant sales, a collection by the Fire and Rain Theatre Company and a sponsored fast in support of destitute asylum seekers.

Seasonal Appeal
We organise a Seasonal Appeal every December to raise money for our work. Part of the Appeal income is used to make cash gifts to detainees at Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre. Between 2006 and 2008, the Appeal raised a total of £30,000 to support Asylum Welcome’s work.
A small, friendly group of volunteers and staff is involved in organising this successful event.
Please contact us if you would like to help out this year.
Book sales
Book sales have raised thousands of pounds for Asylum Welcome over the years. Many people have offered their homes, collected books from friends and neighbours and invited them back to buy.
Each book sale is a perfect way to raise money and find a wonderful selection of books as well as meet up with people you know and those you don't. If you fancy giving it a go, we have an outline of how to do it to help you on your way.
