Asylum Welcome’s resources are limited but we offer as much support as possible for asylum seekers and refugees who find themselves destitute or homeless.
Information and advice
Our free, confidential information and advice service is run by our friendly, caring volunteers. We also provide information about other organisations that may be able to offer special assistance.
Our Food Cupboard Project can provide limited supplies of food, household and personal hygiene items to destitute asylum seekers. We can also supply emergency bed linen.
We can help you find an academic or vocational class, which could help you develop useful skills and knowledge. We offer one-to-one English lessons. We may also be able to provide students with bus passes or bicycles so that you can get to classes. Make an appointment with one of our Education Advisors to discuss your needs and options.
You are welcome to visit our office during public opening hours. Help yourself to a drink in the kitchen, have a chat with our reception volunteers, read a magazine or newspaper, or just relax in our friendly, cosy office.
