One of Asylum Welcome's Detainee Visitor Volunteers received this letter from ‘Ahmed', an ex-detainee who was 'removed' back to his country from Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre.
Hi, how are you doing?
I hope it hasn't been too long that I wrote you. I just want to thank you for the Lovely care that you showed towards me when I was over there in UK. I still sit and think about it over here and it gladdens my heart. I know that you were working under rules and regulations, but you played a part of a caring father that I didn't have over there towards me. I am forever thankful for these special care and dedication towards me.
Sir, you always left the comfort of your home to come down to visit me from such a long distance and at your age and health. Sir, thank you very much for all you did for me, and I pray that Almighty GOD protect and keep you healthily strong.
I just want you to know that I am okay and trying to cope with the difficult situation that I am going. I know things will be well for me someday by the grace of God.
Sir, thanks again for your kindness and please do extends my greetings to everyone of your family for me, cheers.
